Tours: Leatherface / Ninja Gun / Young Livers

Leatherface Leatherface have announced another American tour that starts on May 8 in Lansing, MI. Ninja Gun will support on all dates, while Young Livers will join the second leg of the tour starting on May 17 in St. Louis, MO. All three bands (as well as dozens of others) will be appearing at Rad Fest.

Leatherface continues to support their new album, The Stormy Petrel, which is currently streaming at their Punknews.org page. Young Livers’ new album, Of Misery and Toil, is due out on April 27, 2010 via No Idea Records, and Ninja Gun plans to issue a new EP through Sabot Productions later this year.

Hot Water Music, Melvins, Ted Leo, Fucked Up at Sled Island 2010

The organizers of Calgary’s Sled Island music festival unveiled their first slate of bands last week. The festival, which will feature over 200 bands at 25 venues across the city, will include performances from Hot Water Music, Melvins, Fucked Up, Built to Spill, Deerhoof, The Thermals, Les Savy Fav, Black Lips, Ted Leo And The Pharmacists, The Bronx / Mariachi El Bronx, The Almighty Defenders, The King Khan and BBQ Show, Mark Sultan, Big Business, Austin Lucas, Greg MacPherson, Chuck Ragan, You Say Party! We Say Die! and may more. You can find the initial list here with more to be announced.

Sled Island takes place from June 30th to July 3rd in Calgary, Alberta.

Cursive: “We Built This City” (Starship)

The A.V. Club has posted the fourth video of their ongoing Undercover feature, a series of music videos featuring 25 bands covering 25 different songs inside a small, round room at the site’s Chicago offices. This week’s chapter features Cursive covering the 1985 Starship hit, “We Built This City.”

The Menzingers: “Chamberlain Waits”

The Menzingers Philadelphia’s Menzingers have posted a stream of their upcoming album Chamberlain Waits at MySpace. The record, which follows up the Red Scare released Hold on Dodge EP and the Go-Kart released LP A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology, arrives in stores on April 13th.

Chamberlain Waits was recorded with Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms) at Atlas Studio in Chicago.
