Terrible Things (Taking Back Sunday, Hot Rod Circuit, Coheed & Cambria) plan debut

Terrible Things, a new project from former Taking Back Sunday member Fred Mascherino, Coheed and Cambria alumnus Josh Eppard, and Andy Jackson of Hot Rod Circuit have unveiled plans to release their debut together later this year. The band has developed a concept album about a series of fires that haunted Fred’s former hometown, the depressed Pennsylvania steel-millburgh of Coatesville, PA, located 40-plus miles west of Philadelphia. It was produced by Jason Elgin and prior to the release, the band will be on the road with Story of the Year and Anberlin before heading out for Warped Tour this August.

The band has posted the first single from the album, “Revolution,” and you can find that in Quicktime format here.

The band has also created a short introduction video which can be found via Vimeo.

Maritime: “Enjoy the Silence (Depeche Mode)”

The A.V. Club has posted the latest video of their ongoing Undercover feature, a series of music videos featuring 25 bands covering 25 different songs inside a small, round room at the site’s Chicago offices. This week’s chapter features Maritime with a keytar covering Depeche Mode‘s “Enjoy the Silence.” Maritime released Heresy and the Hotel Choir in 2007. The band just signed to Dangerbird Records and will be releasing their fourth album through the label this year.
