The Casualties have announced a tour of the US and Canada opening for the monster metal spectacle GWAR. The tour kicks off on October 2nd at the Sonar in Baltimore and will wrap up at the House Of Blues in Houston on November 5th. The following day the street punk act will participate in Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Fest.
Canadian pop-punk act Sum 41 has been forced to cancel their return to the Vans Warped Tour. The band had played over 20 dates this season before taking a leave to play Japan’s Summersonic Festival. In Japan frontman Deryck Whibley was attacked in what’s being described as a “random unprovoked incident,” which has aggrevated a slipped disk injury that he sustained in 2007. While the band chose to perform the festival in Osaka and Tokyo despite the injury and advice of doctors, Whibley’s condition has not improved. Drummer Steve Jocz commented:
Being a part of the Warped Tour this summer meant a lot to us. We haven’t toured in two years and the bands, the crowds and the entire Warped Tour crew have been amazing to us. We were excited to be back in front of our fans and are very disappointed that we have to pull off the tour. We know that it would be more frustrating for the fans if we can’t give it our all. Deryck is doing everything he can to get himself better and we’re there for him.
Did you vote the Mutations are too easy? Try this one on Expert. Realism rules are in effect. There are no respawns in the map. There is no ammo. If your team wipes, you need to restart the whole campaign.

Bill?
If you played The Passing, you know that Bill dies. If you didnt play The Passing, sorry for the spoiler. We will be explaining Bills death in an upcoming comic and DLC but what are your guesses to how he died?
With so much folk and folk-punk music out there today, it’s nice to know that there’s a group of musicians who are in it for the right reasons. The Riot Folk Collective gives away all of their music for free either online or at shows if you don’t have the money. Punknews interviewer Matt spent an evening at an anarchist bookstore and coffee shop in Baltimore named Red Emmas to hear one of the Riot Folk’s workhorses, Mark Gunnery, play. After a heartfelt, but not too-serious set from the Jewish folk artist, they arranged an interview, to be conducted over the phone, for the very next day. To hear the extended audio interview, which features listener-submitted questions at the end, go here.
Sundowner was recently featured on Switchboard Sessions. Chris McCaughan called in to perform “The Flicker,” from his new album We Chase the Waves, as well an acoustic rendition of “The Slowest Drink At The Saddest Bar On The Snowiest Day In The Greatest City,” from The Lawrence Arms‘ 2009 7″ Buttsweat and Tears. Check it out here.
Hopeless Records has detailed their reissue of The Wonder Years‘ 2010 album, The Upsides. The album features new artwork and four new tracks in addition to the original release. The band will be touring with Four Year Strong and New Found Glory later this year.
Our stream today comes from Moncton, NB pop-punk outfit Fear of Lipstick. We’ve got a stream of the band’s new self-titled full length for It’s Alive Records. Fans of The Briefs and Marked Men might find this enjoyable.
We are starting a new feature for PC players this week. Bi-weekly community campaigns!
Every two weeks we are going to feature a new community campaign on our servers. We will feature one campaign at a time to make it is easier to find games. Well be keeping it featured for two weeks so people can familiarize themselves with the maps for competitive play.
We currently have 120 servers setup around the world with the first featured campaign 2 Evil Eyes.
For PC users here is how you can join us playing 2 Evil Eyes:
Download Left 4 Dead 2 Add-on support in the tools tab of the Steam library.
Download the following campaign from our friends at L4Dmaps.com.
Double clicking the vpk should install it but you can also copy the vpk to \Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons Either way that is where the vpks need to end up.
Start up Left 4 Dead 2.
Choose to play online and any available game/lobby in your area will show up. Or you can create your own game and choose addons and select 2 Evil Eyes for the campaign.
Since we have the servers up, you can choose Official Dedicated for server type.
Well be looking for you online! Watch out for the rock! Youll know what I mean when you play.
If you have any troubles or questions on playing community content please post in this thread.

Bay area punk rockers Bobby Joe Ebola and the Children MacNuggits are set to release their third full-length (and first in ten years), F, on October 12th via Silver Sprocket. The album features Bobby Joe Ebola friends and regulars such as Jesse Luscious (Blatz), John Geek (Fleshies, Triclops), and members of Your Mother, Mystic Knights Of The Cobra, bicycle dance troupe the Bay Area Derailleurs and comedian Alex Koll. Both the CD and LP version come packaged with extensive liner notes and a fold-out poster, and are available for advance order now on the Silver Sprocket website.
The band is notable for running the S.P.A.M. Burn Zombie Burn! is now available on Steam. To celebrate its launch, the game will be offered a 10% discount during launch week. Hurry, as offer ends on August 18th, 2010!
Welcome to the char-grilled world of Burn Zombie Burn, where the best type of undead is barbequed undead.
The goals are simple: keep Bruce alive, as he tries to keep Daisy alive, and get the highest score possible. Standing (well, ambling) in your way is a never ending horde of the rotting, stinking and stupid undead. Fortunately our mild-mannered hero Bruce can get hold of some tasty weaponry. Burn, batter, shoot, maim, blow up, mince, and obliterate as many zombies as possible before they make Bruce their dinner? Flaming zombies are faster and more dangerous than regular uncooked zombies. But burning zombies drop better pickups and act as a score multiplier light em up, score big, and have fun.
