Hunting Party, Comics Going Mobile, Did you Win?

Hunting Party

Nothing but Hunters on the prowl.

In this Coop Mutation we pit you against non-stop hunters. No booms, no spit, no tongues, no charges, no being ridden? Great practice on dead stopping a hunter pounce.

The Sacrifice comic has gone mobile.

The Sacrifice is now available on the iPhone and iPad.

How do you get it?

Go to the App store on your iphone/ipad.

Download the Comixology app (be sure to get the one that says “Comics” not “Pull List”)

Use the search engine to find Left 4 Dead.

Download for Free! When it is finished, go to bottom of the U.I. and you will find it in “my comics”.

Thanks to everyone at Comixology for getting this up.

We also added a zip file on the comic’s extra page that contains all the panels with the words and SFX removed. This way you can create your own story or translate The Sacrifice to a language other than English or just make Zoey say all those things you’ve been hoping she would.

Did you win?

You get to the end of the Sacrifice. You and three friends are on the bridge and someone needs to jump down. You offer to do it yourself, so you jump down, restart the generator and save the team.

Do you consider that you won the Campaign or did you just sacrifice yourself so your team won?

Next week – Lone Gunman

Every Time I Die in trouble for fake celebrity retweets

Epitaph Records hardcore act Every Time I Die is in some trouble for their latest promotional stunt. The band is marketing their upcoming DVD, Shit Happens, and did so by creating fake retweets from celebrities such as Any Dick, Pee Wee Herman, Jimmy Fallon, Kanye West and more.

The result of the self-promotion was apparently “seize (sic) and desist papers” and legal troubles. Frontman Keith Buckley added:

So backpeddling on @TheGunzShow and saying that most of those tweets were fake didn’t appease the celebs that knew they weren’t.

The band released New Junk Aesthetic in 2009.

Sandwich and I are coming for you!

After days of deliberation, a moderate amount of yelling, and an M&M inexplicably up Drew Wolf’s nose again, we’re happy to announce the winners of the art pass contest. That’s right, winners. Multiple. There were so many good-looking and fun maps that it was incredibly tough to narrow them all down to a single entry. So much so that we didn’t bother.

Congratulations to Valentin “3DNJ” Levillain and Timothy “YM” Johnson. TF2Maps.net has a page up where you can view the winners of the contest, along with many of the other fantastic entries.

We’ve gotten to play a lot of maps these last few days, and every one offered exciting, fresh experiences. One of the most notable entries was by Acegikmo, who built a final cap room that epitomizes everything we love: plants, television monitors, pipes, and the color red. Another notable entry was Gooba’s, which contained a breathtaking skybox of ominous dark clouds casting a shadow in the distance. The Harvest theme made a few appearances — but only two men, honeymustard and TerabyteST, were able to tame it into entries that made us all miss the Midwest.
