Alkaline Trio recently stopped by Spinner and talked to them about Marilyn Manson and performed with Tegan Quinn (Tegan and Sara).

“Marilyn Manson is a hero of ours,” Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba told Spinner when the band stopped by the Interface. “We’ve asked him to do videos with us and stuff, which he’s also agreed to do. He was very nice about it and then we blew it somehow.”

“Being too frightening,” drummer Derek Grant chimed.

“He heard we did way too much drugs and never slept,” Skiba said, ” which isn’t true. So he didn’t want to do it.”

You can see the band covering Tegan and Sara’s track “Wake Up Exhausted” at Spinner’s Interface. The Trio is slated to head out on tour with Rise Against, Thrice and the Gaslight Anthem in support of their recent release Agony & Irony.
