Brokencyde plan second album
The fine fellows in Brokencyde have announced plans to release their sophomore album this fall. The band, who are loved and hated in equal measure, have titled the album, Will Never Die and had this to say:
With this record we allowed ourselves more time creatively to do what we wanted, which enabled us to take things to a whole new level! This album speaks to our amazing fans that have supported us through thick and thin, but should be exciting for new listeners as well. I have to say this album is the best work we’ve ever put together. Fans are going to love it, and haters beware because it’s gonna destroy the game.
The magic happens November 9, 2010.

7 Seconds talks new album, compilations
In a newly posted interview, Kevin Seconds talks about the possibilities of new material from the long-running hardcore act 7 Seconds. He explains:
Yeah, we have a lot of new songs, we’re trying to come up with a creative way to put out new music without being like, “Here’s another CD!”, because if we do that with the label we’ve been with, SideOneDummy, and rightly-so, they’ll want us to tour a lot and we can’t really tour as much as we like to. We’re going to do a bunch of vinyl stuff, because we’ve got two whole albums that we never officially released from like 1980/81, and it’s really just for the fans, it’s not like we expect to sell a ton of records. For years, the cassettes that we recorded on a boom box, they’ve been getting bootlegged and they sound like hell, it’s horrible, so we just want to record it and get it out there, so anybody who wants it can have it. So, yeah, there’s definitely new stuff and there’s talk that SideOneDummy wants to do a collection of old stuff, new stuff, unreleased stuff, and I like that idea. That was supposed to be done this year, but we just kept pushing it back
Check out the entire interview here.
The band’s last release was 2005’s Take It Back, Take It On, Take It Over!.

Weezer to take ‘Pinkerton’ on tour?
Weezer has announced a October 5, 2010 release date for the deluxe reissue of 1996’s Pinkerton. So far, the band has noted that the album will go the deluxe/expanded route like their previous album, 2004’s Weezer [Deluxe Edition]. The album is available on Amazon now, but no details on the contents are listed. Of some note to the album’s many fans is that bassist Brian Bell is “praying” for a tour featuring the album in its entirety:
We have a reissue of ‘Pinkerton’ coming out with new packaging. And I’m praying a ‘Pinkerton’ tour, where we’ll play all the songs off ‘Pinkerton’, soon.
The band will be releasing their next studio album, Hurley, September 14, 2010 on their new, indie home, Epitaph Records.
