Ninja Gun wrapping up new EP

Ninja Gun Valdosta, GA’s Ninja Gun are just about finished with their long-awaited EP for Sabot Productions, Roman Nose. Frontman Johnathan Coody intends to finish recording his vocals on Thursday, and the four-song set is tentatively slated for a late fall release. Click below to read the track listing.

The band released Restless Rubes in 2008 via Suburban Home Records, and two split 7-inches with Whiskey and Co. and Fake Problems respectively in 2009. You might remember the surreal band on band interview we ran back in March featuring Ninja Gun and Fake Problems.

Screaming Females post “I Don’t Mind It,” prepare for tour

Screaming Females Screaming Females have unveiled a new song from their upcoming full-length. “I Don’t Mind It” comes from Castle Talk, which is due out on September 14, 2010 via Don Giovanni Records. Once out, it’ll follow up 2009’s Power Move, though the band did release a singles collection in the interim.

Such Gold: “Sycamore”

Such Gold Rochester, NY’s Such Gold are streaming a new song entitled “Sycamore.” The track is culled from the pop-punk outfit’s upcoming EP for 6131 Records, Pedestals, slated for a September 14, 2010 release. Once out, it’ll follow up 2009’s Stand Tall, released by Mightier Than Sword.

Fueled by Ramen releasing Honda Civic Tour EP

Fueled By Ramen Records will be releasing a 2010 summer tour EP featuring all of the bands performing on this year’s Honda Civic Tour. Paramore and Tegan and Sara contribute two tracks each, while New Found Glory and Kadawatha each add one song. Click below for the track listing.

Mike Felumlee: “Ghost Adventures”

Mike Felumlee (ex Alkaline Trio/Smoking Popes) has released a new single “My Favorite Ghost Adventures.” The single includes the song “Ghost Adventures” as well as a b-side titled “My Favorite Ghost”. The title track is set to appear in an upcoming episode of the Ghost Adventures TV show on the Travel Channel this fall.

Vivian Girls lose Ali Koehler to Best Coast, add Coasting’s Fiona Campbell

Drummer Ali Koehler has left low-fi New York group Vivian Girls to join LA’s Best Coast full time. Koehler has been drumming for them as a guest for the past few months but has now made the shift permanent. She’ll be replaced in Vivian Girls by Fiona Campbell from the Brooklyn-based band Coasting.

Ali has been with Vivan Girls since 2008 when she filled the void left by their original drummer Frankie Rose, who left the group to join Crystal Stilts. The band last released Everything Goes Wrong in 2009 via In The Red Records.

Be My Doppelganger join It’s Alive Records for new LP

Evansville, IN pop punks Be My Doppelganger will release their next album via It’s Alive Records. Titled No Composure and due out August 31, 2010, it’ll be the band’s first full-length since 2006’s Rock N Roll, Genius!, though they’ve released numerous EPs and 7-inches in the interim, including 2008’s Sonic Annihilation, the band’s first release for It’s Alive.
