PunkBuster updates Battlefield 1942 Client to v1.074
Are you having problems with PunkBusters kicking you from Battlefield 1942 servers with a message about not being able to update the client? The fix is very simple, although the PB website is some what convoluted on the subject. Go to the PB download site and get pbweb. Put it in your pb directory, located in the root of your Battlefield 1942 directory and then run it.
You should be updated after that and no longer get kicked for running an older version of PunkBusters.

Ultima 5: Lazarus Released
Ultima 5: Lazarus is a complete remake of the Ultima 5 game using the Dungeon Seige game. Recently, they released their first Alpha version of the mod. If you like Ultima 5 or are a fan of Dungeon Seige, you need to check out this mod. It looks like it has the potential to be a great game.

By now, you have all probably heard about Janet Jacksons boob show during the half time performance of the Superbowl. Did you know that Tivo said it was the most watched thing ever recorded in the history of Tivo?
What I bet you havent heard is the VFW is ticked off at Kick Rock for cutting an American Flag down the center and wearing it as a poncho during his performance.

Monster Magnets ninth album, Monolithic Baby, will be released in North America in March. The disc was produced by Scott Humphrey and features new members Jim Baglino (bass) and Bob Pantella (drums). Tracks include “Slut Machine” and “Supercruel.” …
Taproot will head to Chicago in two weeks to record a collaboration with former Smashing Pumpkins/ Zwan frontman Billy Corgan. The band also recently worked with Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter. Both tracks are slated for the next Taproot album, due later this year. …
A Perfect Circle have added eight shows to their North American spring tour. The new dates begin April 17 in Indianapolis and run through May 1 in Holmdel, New Jersey.

Has Hell Frozen Over?
Id like to congratulate Warner Brothers music for being the first record label to actually get it. Dont get me wrong, I still think all major record labels are scum and I will as long as they support the RIAA.
MTV.com has the full scoop on Waner Bros. releasing a new band called The Secret Machines debut album on the internet 4 months before you can buy it in stores. Here is small snipet from the article:
Even when adopting the most drastic measures, record labels seem helpless to prevent albums from surfacing online before their release dates. So now one label is taking the “if you cant beat em, join em” approach.

BF Game Server Upgraded to 1.6
We have upgraded the Gamers Radio Battlefield 1942 game server to 1.6. You can find the server info on the left side under the main menu block.
Also, stats were reset! This is your chance to get on top of our stats! Play all day and come back the next day to see how you rank against everyone else. We run stats every day in the early morning.
Friday Night Fights will happen again this weekend. We will not be doing custom maps this time around, but it will still be a fun time for all. We hope you will join us!
Halo 2 Slips
Bungie is reporting that Halo 2 will not ship before Fall 2004. While EB and Gamestop still have it listed as June 1. My money is on Bungies date.
