Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz gave fansite The BR Page the following update on the progress of the band’s next album:

“I’ve also been writing some songs and am looking forward to demoing them with Brooks and the others as soon as they’re off the Warped Tour.”

Frontman Greg Graffin recently announced that the band does indeed plan to have a new album ready for a 2010 release. When released, it’ll be the band’s first studio album since 2007’s New Maps of Hell, which was repackaged into a deluxe edition in 2008.
