Exclaim recently caught up with Bad Religion‘s Jay Bentley who discussed the current state of the Warped Tour as well as the “newer” bands who may not have as much of a connection to the original punk rock ideals.
At one point, Jay addresses one common complaint about the Warped Tour:
Where the fuck are all the Bad Religion’s of the world? People don’t start bands like Bad Religion because we’re not popular. They start bands like Fall Out Boy because they make millions of dollars.
If you don’t like [The Warped Tour] because of the bands, start a fucking band. If you don’t like what is being given to you, make what you want.
The band continues to support New Maps of Hell and will be appearing on Conan O’Brien tonight.
