While this isn't exactly new news, when I saw the other day that the new Tony Hawk console based skateboarding game would have a monster of a soundtrack, I had to find out more. Tony Hawks Project 8, which is due in stores in early November, features a soundtrack of 56 songs from a wide variety of artist sampling hip-hop, punk, new wave, funk, metal and everything in between. While I cannot comment on the quality of the game (although the reputation of this title is very good), I can vouch for the quality of the soundtrack. Here's a partial list and you can click "read more" to see the entire list.
