Gamespot has an interesting article on the top 10 FPS of all time. Interestingly enough, Battlefield 1942 just made it onto the list. Im not sure I would include console only FPS on the list, but it still makes for interesting reading.

Intel has built a prototype Optical chip and it seems to be something they feel they can easily and cost effectively be mass produced.
the only setback is that it is limited to a mere two billion bits per second 😉

I have not been following the new Microsoft MMORPG, Mythica, so I dont know much about it. Although, Microsoft announced yesterday that they were cancelling it.

Call of Duty and BF1942 might as well step out of the way … Soldner’s coming.
This game has numerous features that set it apart from most FPSMPGs for one, all buildings, trees, and pretty much anything else you can see are fully destructable.
You leave craters with munitions that hit the landscape, and well… Sniping just became a suicide mission.

Ultima 5: Lazarus is a complete remake of the Ultima 5 game using the Dungeon Seige game. Recently, they released their first Alpha version of the mod. If you like Ultima 5 or are a fan of Dungeon Seige, you need to check out this mod. It looks like it has the potential to be a great game.

According to Blues News, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory has released the source code to the free game.

I am very impressed by all the effort id Software, Activision, and Splash Damage have put into this free game. If you have not checked it out, its only a download away.

The people at PunkBuster have released a new update that fixes some issues found in their version for Quake 3.
