Though there has been no shortage of video updates from Against Me!, their label has posted the first official clip from the DVD which is set to be packaged with the album.
The band also recently participated in an interview while in Australia talking about their album and even their expectations for the upcoming presidential election:
You know what, I’m over it. He’s out in a couple of years. Goodbye. I’m kind of resigned to the fact that even though we’re replacing one major arsehole, we’ll just replace him with another one (laughs). I don’t see the American people voting in someone any worse than Bush, but it’s highly unlikely we’re gonna vote in someone fantastic, because they just don’t exist in politics,”
The highly anticipated major label debut for the band, New Wave is due out July 10, 2007.

The lineup for this year’s No Way Fest has been finalized. The fest will run June 23 and June 24 at Alleykatz in Richmond, VA and will feature Career Suicide, Government Warning and Caustic Christ, among many others.
SSNOVA has posted a new track online entitled “Milky Wrong Way.” The song is from their forthcoming self-titled digital EP, which will be released June 19.
Bloomfield, New Jersey hardcore act Endgame, featuring Paul Colucci of Between The Wars. have posted three new tracks online at the MySpace page.
Canadian metal act Inner Surge have posted their new video for the song “Wolves” here. The video, directed by Shaun Friesen of Free Zen Design, features a multimedia collage based on the events surrounding the 1994 Rwandan genocide. The song was featured on the band’s 2006 full length Signals Screaming.
It’s Sunday June 10th, 2007. I suppose when tasked with making some quip about the week that passed, most media folk would say something on the trials and tribulations of a certain wealthy socialite heiress… but that’s not the way things work here at the Org, so what do you get from me is FIN FANG FOOM! The most fearful menace of them all! What more could you possibly want?
The people must have something good to read on a Sunday
So I’m looking at the magic mirror which reveals the week’s biggest articles and I see a virtual hype race between Against Me! and Strung Out. First we had Against Me! teasing their video for “White People for Peace” with some streaming music while Strung Out previewed Blackhawks Over Los Angeles with some new music of their own. A few days after the initial hype we had Against Me’s “White People for Peace” video and Strung Out’s “Blackhawks over Los Angeles” album stream. That’s the way to run a railroad, kids. Rage Against The Machine took it a step further, creating a countdown to something mysterious to get people talking. Guitarist Tom Morello took some time out of his busy guerrilla schedule to chat chat with Socialist Worker as well. Around here all Propagandhi needs to do is sneeze and they’ll get grassroots hype. The announcement of a new album in Spring of 2008 takes it a step further.
Mississauga, Ontario act Struck By Truth is calling it quits. From the band’s statement:
We have worked very hard for the last 7 years on music that we feel is genuine and that we care about in Struck By Truth. We poured as much blood, sweat, tears, anger, sadness, love, happiness, desire, and any other emotion we could muster for as long as we could, we’ve given up relationships, lost jobs, quit school, fought with family, friends, and each other.
It is time that the members Struck By Truth part ways with one another. This has a bad feeling; like an Old Dog being put down, though we love it and hate to see it go, a member of our families and our lives, it’s time to let it go and say goodbye.
The band has three final shows scheduled this month, with two dates in Brampton, Ontario and one in Toronto.
Former Nerve Agents frontman Eric Ozenne has finally named his new band. Originally announced as the Strange Young Heroes, the group is now going by the name Said Radio. The band will play their debut show at West Seattle Legion Hall in Seattle, WA on Monday July 23 with Ceremony, Shipwreck, and Ruiner. The Ergs! are planning to make a second contribution to the Art Of The Underground singles series. The band’s currently on tour with Lemuria in support of their recent 7″, but upon returning home they will put together a second release for the series.
Following that the band will release a collection of their 2006-released 7″ material titled All Things Move Toward Their End. It will arrive on July 3rd via 12″ vinyl, CD and digital download services via No Idea Records. There was some mixup on just who would be putting out the disc however, as we previously connected it with 1-2-3-4 Go! Records. The band explained:
There was a little bit of fuckedupedness about labels on this one. Whatever you hear is probably not true. I had told 1234 GO! and Recess that they could both do it. The problem being that I had also told No Idea the same thing. Chalk that one up to me being a dumb, forgetful, drunk idiot baboon. We decided to do it with No Idea based on the fact that we have loved that label since we were wee little shits, and it would be fucking rad to release something on such a cool label run by cool people. The future of our band is in a constant state of “You wanna do this anymore?”….”I dont know, do you”…. “Im Moving”….. “Sweet”…….If that makes any sense. Basically, this may be one of the last chances to do something on a label we loved in an impure way since we were young. I fucked up. I apologize to both Recess and 1234 Go!. Both of the dudes that do those labels are solid and shouldn’t have to deal with a dummy like me.
