Madball reveal artwork for, discuss new album

Madball Madball has revealed the artwork for Infiltrate The System, the follow-up to Legacy.

Freddy Cricien had this to say regarding the new album:

The album will lyrically keep some of the hardcore standards while branching out from any of their previous work. We are hoping to branch out conceptually with ‘Infiltrate’. We do have a few songs written about themes that are familiar to our fans, such as life on the streets, but we also have some songs that delve more into social commentary. By no means are we a political band now, we’re still giving you first hand accounts of our life but there is other topics we want to talk about such as self-empowerment which everyone can relate to. Kids from the hardcore scene are infiltrating the system everyday and making changes to old ways of thinking, we have fans whom grew up with our band and are in all walks of life including CEOs of companies, politicians, teachers and more.

The album is expected to be released this fall.

Set it Straight ( – 2007)

Set It Straight Redding, CA positive hardcore act Set It Straight has announced that the rumors regarding a break-up are accurate, as the band’s vocalist has decided to pursue schooling and a career in education. Harry (vocals) had this to say:

I plan on being a teacher and obviously with that comes some schooling. I am at a point in my life where I would’nt be able to concentrate on both at the same time, school and band that is. Set it Straight has been priority one since its birth and to ask the other band members to put this band on a “back burner” would, for me, be disrespectful and wrong. I know there was small talk about possibly pushing foward with a new singer but if i’m not mistaken that idea has been discarded. To elaborate a small bit I also think that if I didnt go to school and begin what is very important to me I would be, in turn going against the very idea I sing about in our songs about finding self-happiness and making personal life changing decisions for yourself. This band has been my life for the past three and a half years and it has been some of the best times of my life, but I’ll spare you the words you have heard from every other band that has broken up.

The band last released Live Your Heart and Never Follow in 2006.
