Tours: Motion City Soundtrack / Sherwood / The Higher / The Forecast

Motion City Soundtrack has announced the dates for a summer tour in support of their upcoming third full length. The record is titled Even If It Kills Me and is due out July 17, 2007. It is the follow-up to Commit This To Memory which was released in 2005.

Supporting the headlining tour will be Sherwood, The Higher, and The Forecast. Tickets for the all of the band’s headlining dates will go on sale Saturday, May 12.

Tours: Jesse Malin / Acute

New York’s Jesse Malin will be touring with Acute beginning next month. Malin is touring in support of his third solo full length Glitter In The Gutter. The record was released via Adeline Records / East West.

The album features guest apperances from Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Chris Shifflett of the Foo Fighters / Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age.

Malin was the frontman of glam-punk group D Generation, which disbanded in 1999. Glitter In The Gutter follows up 2004’s Artemis released The Heat.

Tours: Giving Chase (Europe)

Giving Chase have announced a European tour in support of their upcoming new album. The record is titled A Cheap Print of a Masterpiece and is due out June 19, 2007. It is the follow-up to Nothing Ever Changes which was released in 2003.

Giving Chase will also be touring the US and Canada for five weeks in June and July in support of the album with Ryan’s Hope. A full US tour is being booked for the fall as well.

Seventh Star posts DVD companion trailer

Seventh Star has posted a trailer for their upcoming DVD. The DVD is a companion to their forthcoming Facedown Records release The Undisputed Truth. The album, which has the theme of “restoration through creation,” will be released June 12.

The disc promises live footage, studio sessions and behind the scenes interviews.

Ruiner announces 2-song digital/limited 7-inch EP

Ruiner has announced that they will release a 2-song teaser EP entitled The Lives We Fear as a pre-cursor to their debut full-length, Prepare to Be Let Down, which is set for release on June 19th via Bridge 9. The EP will be released in digital and limited vinyl formats May 1st on the same label.

The band will hit the road in support of their forthcoming album with Pulling Teeth, Killing the Dream and Life Long Tragedy among others for a two-month North American tour before heading to Europe. Those dates are expected soon.

The What Could Possibly Go Right… EP (1917) was released in 2005.

Circa Survive debuts another new track

A stream of Circa Survive‘s “The Difference Between Medicine And Poison Is In The Dose” is now available online via their myspace page. The track is taken from the band’s sophomore full-length, On Letting Go.

The album is due out May 29 via Equal Vision, following up 2005’s Juturna.

The band is currently on a co-headlining tour with Cute Is What We Aim For.

Reflections Records launches Momentum imprint

Hardcore label Reflections Records has announced the formation of a new imprint dubbed Momentum Records. The new label reflects an interest in music outside of hardcore/punk and will include genres like classic rock / metal , dark blues/folk and black metal.

The first releases from the label include records from Nihill, Burning Saviours and Black Anvil. Music from the records can be found on the label’s myspace page.
