Gainesville, FL ‘stoner emo’ outfit Senders have posted a song from their new 7″ for Kiss of Death, Recovery. The band was selling limited edition copies of the record on their recently completed tour, and it’ll be available from their label on June 29, 2010.
Oneonta, NY’s Timeshares (ex-The Knockdown) have posted a new song; the band plans to release a split 7″ with Captain, We’re Sinking soon via Kiss of Death.
Victoria BC Ska Society has announced that the 11th Annual Ska Festival will take place in Victoria, BC from Wednesday, July 7th through Saturday, July 10th. This year’s line up will feature Fishbone, The Aggrolites, Cherry Poppin’ Dadies, Easy Bog Fella, Brand New Waves, Rocky Mountain Rebel Music and The Valuables. The fest will also feature a host of acts from outside North America, including New Zealand’s Katchafire and The Black Seeds, Columbia’s Skampida, Mexico’s Los Kung Fu Monkeys and Australia’s The Resignators.
Fat Wreck Chords has posted a video from Fat Mike of NOFX regarding the singer’s now infamous SXSW performance as Cokie The Clown. The clip reveals that Mike did not, in fact, serve members of his audience shots of Patron Anejo tequila which had been watered down with his urine. Footage from a second camera reveals the bottles were switched before the singer took the stage.
