Vancouver, Canada-based hardcore act Grave Maker have posted a new song from their debut for Victory Records. The label will be releasing the band’s forthcoming full length Ghost Among Men, due out June 22, 2010. The band previously released material on Think Fast! Records.

Nations Afire have posted an update with a lineup change and also some new demo material. The band has announced that guitarist Nik Hill (Ignite) has taken over vocal duties in the band. The new four piece has signed a publishing deal with EMI Publishing and also posted two new demo songs featuring Nik’s vocals. Those can be found on their MySpace page.
The band also includes by Chris Chasse – who also formed Last of the Believers after leaving Rise Against, Brett Rasmussen (Ignite) and Todd Hennig (ex-Death By Stereo).

Shoegaze act The Pains of Being Pure at Heart have released a video for the eponymous track from their 2009 EP, Higher Than the Stars. The band is also planning a new 7-inch, Say No to Love set to be released via Slumberland Records. The band released the LP, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. They will be touring with Surfer Blood beginning in June.

Chris McCaughan of Lawrence Arms and Sundowner has announced a release date for his second solo record. The album is as-yet untitled but will be released on August 10, 2010. It is the follow-up to Four One Five Two which was released in 2007.
This time around, the record will be released via Asian Man Records who warn that “you will be graced with the best record of all time” Chris has also launched a Sundowner Twitter Profile so you can go follow that.

Felix Cartal have posted the new video for “Volcano.” The clip features Johnny Whitney of The Blood Brothers and Jaguar Love and the video was produced & directed by *Ace Norton* (LCD Soundsystem, She and Him, Death Cab For Cutie, etc.) It compiles footage from the Mount St. Helens eruption of 1980 and stock footage of Dan Rather, seemingly lip-syncing the song.
