Tokyo Police Club sign to Dine Alone Records

Tokyo Police Club Dine Alone Records has signed Newmarket, Ontario’s Tokyo Police Club. The Toronto label will release the band’s upcoming sophomore full length Champ later this year. The band last released Elephant Shell in 2008 via Saddle Creek Records.

Tokyo Police Club will be playing Coachella this weekend, taking the stage on Saturday alongside Faith No More, Muse, Coheed and Cambria, The Raveonettes, RX Bandits, Frank Turner and The Almighty Defenders.

Tours: Chinese Telephones / Tenement

Those Chinese Telephones just can’t quit each other; despite disbanding in early 2009, they’ve continued to play sporadic shows and have now announced a May 26 show in their hometown of Milwaukee, WI, as well as the routing for a June tour around Insubordination Fest with Tenement.

The band’s self-titled 2007 release is being reissued on vinyl by It’s Alive Records and Sandwich Man Records.

House Boat detail ‘Processing Complaints’ EP

Traffic Street Records has detailed the new EP from House Boat. Processing Complaints is currently available as a digital download, with a physical release coming in June. More details are available here.

The band notably features members of The Steinways, Dear Landlord, The Ergs! and The Measure [sa]. Processing Complaints follows up The Delaware Octopus, released in 2009.
