Weezer has confirmed the first few dates of their upcoming Memories tour, which fans have been referring to as the Blinkerton tour due to plans to perform The Blue Album and Pinkerton in their entirety. Each city will feature two shows, covering the two albums on separate nights along with other material.
In a bit of a dubious honor, the street sign for Joey Ramone Place is officially the most stolen sign in New York City. It came first out of more than 250,900 signs stolen each year, beating out both Wall Street and Broadway. Impressively, the street signs are 12 to 14 feet off the ground but due to the thefts, Joey Ramone’s sign has been raised an additional 20 feet reports the New York Post.
The sign lives (temporarily) at Bowery and East 2nd Street. Marky Ramone commented on the street and the thefts:
Every time I turn down Second Street, I look up and say, ‘Hey Joey, you belong up there. It’s a really nice tribute to a frontman who started the genre we call punk rock.’
My Chemical Romance have posted the track listing for their upcoming fourth full length. The record is titled Danger Days: True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys and is due out November 23, 2010 in North America and November 22, 2010 in Europe. The album is their first since The Black Parade in 2006.
The Dear & Departed, who include L.A. Ink star Dan Smith and Shook Ones drummer Jimmy Walsh, have announced that they’ll enter the Hurley Studio in Orange County, Calif., in mid-October to record their sophomore full-length. The album will be produced by New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert (H2O, A Day to Remember, Fireworks) and engineered by Paul Miner (Terror, Throwdown, Death by Stereo).
Rise Records has signed Columbus, OH-based My Ticket Home. The 5-piece recorded its debut EP The Opportunity To Be with Caleb Shomo vocalist of Attack Attack! Shomo is also featured on the track “Dead Weight.” Look for the EP to be released digitally November 9.

Tiger Army will be celebrating Halloween this year with a full live performance of 2001’s II: Power Of Moonlight. The performance of the album from beginning to end will take place during the second night of Octoberflame III at The Grove of Anaheim Sunday, October 31 2010. The set will include other Tiger Army classics as well. A completely different set of Tiger Army songs will be performed the night before. hile the band did an “Early Years” set during 2008’s inaugural Octoberflame event, this will be the first time Tiger Army has performed any album sequentially. This coming summer marks the tenth anniversary of Moonlite’s release.
As Nick 13 has been busy preparing his debut solo album (a record in the Americana / alt-country vein) for a 2011 release, the two Octoberflame shows in Anaheim will be the only Tiger Army shows in 2010 anywhere in the world. Olympia, WA’s RVIVR have posted a song from their new EP, Dirty Water, to be released on Berlin’s Yo Yo Records. The EP is the second release from the band this year, following their self-titled full-length.
The Slurpee-sponsored battle of the bands is wrapping up and only two bands remain in the contest. More than 12 bands competed for the top honors and it’s down to The Hollabacks and singer-songwritier Levi Ware.
1990s New York hardcore outfit Yuppicide have posted four songs from their upcoming l two disk collection of tracks, recorded during the band’s decade long heyday, entitled, Anthology ’88-98′. The Yuppicide double discography CD features all of the music the band recorded from 1988-1998, including rare unreleased tracks, complimented by a 24-page full color booklet filled with lyrics, rare photos, flyers, and more. The album is due out September 28, 2010.
Following their run of dates with Swingin’ Utters, Boston, MA’s Have Nots will embark on a tour of their own that includes a handful of American gigs as well as a trip to Europe.
