Jimmy Eat World are streaming the b-side from their first single, “My Best Theory.” The single precedes the band’s upcoming full-length, Invented.

Invented is due out September 28, 2010 and will follow up 2007’s Chase This Light. The album was produced by Mark Trombino, who previously worked with Jimmy Eat World on 1996’s Static Prevails, as well as 1999 fan-favorite Clarity and the band’s 2001 breakthrough, Bleed American. The group will be touring behind the album in the fall.

Pitchfork has posted their list of the 50 best videos of the 90s. The list includes videos from Sonic Youth, Frank Black, A Tribe Called Quest, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Pavement, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Blur, Yo La Tengo, Beastie Boys and Weezer. Thankfully, each number also includes an embedded copy of the video in question as well.

Exclaim is reporting that Further Seems Forever have reunited with original vocalist (and Dashboard Confessional leader) Chris Carrabba. Further Seems Forever posted a video on a newly launched website yesterday of the band rehearsing “The Moon Is Down” with Carrabba on vocals. The video concludes with word “Spring” hinting at a tour or album next year.
The most recent lineup of the band had called it quits in 2006 after releasing Hide Nothing in 2004.

Devil’s Brigade, the project fronted by Matt Freeman of Rancid and Operation Ivy, have posted a stream of their debut. The record is due out August 31, 2010. The band includes Matt, Tim Armstrong and drummer DJ Bonebrake from the influential punk group X.

Torche have launched a stream of their new song, “U.F.O.” The track comes from the band’s upcoming new album, Songs for Singles which is due out September 21, 2010. The album is the first record from the band since Meanderthal in 2008 and the band will be supporting the record on an upcoming tour with High on Fire and Kylesa.

UK act Directions have posted a new demo. You can check out “Dreamer” at either their Facebook page or MySpace.
The band, who claims influences such as ’90s emo and Brand New, is currently writing for their debut 7″ on City of Gold, due out this coming winter. They self-released a four-song demo last year.

Vanna, who recently parted ways with Epitaph, have posted the first song from their debut for Artery Recordings. The band’s debut for the label is titled The Honest Hearts (EP) and is due out October 12, 2010.

The band released two albums and an EP on Epitaph Records including 2006’s The Search Party Never Came and 2007’s Curses. Their final release on the label was 2009’s A New Hope.
