You’ll recall the dancing punk robots we discussed a week ago. The `bots, controlled by a neural network and trained to love classic punk rock, were exhibited recently at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. The robots were created by artist Fiddian Warman, whose team based their adaptive artificial intelligence on on processes that take place in real biology. Warman formed a punk band for the exhibit dubbed Neurotic and the PVCs featuring guitarist Andrew Tweedie (Menace), drummer Chris Bashford (Chelsea) and bassist Rob Bartram (Chester). The band, along with a pair of openers, played for an audience of humans and robots this past weekend.
