Chinese Telephones are expecting to call it quits but have not finalized the decision pending a new drummer. The band explained:

We have known this for a few weeks now, but I guess I never posted about it. We have 2 shows left (Sept 20 in Madison with Dillinger Four and Scared of Chaka and The Fest 7 in Gainesville, FL), then Gorky will be quitting the band.

Hopefully we will find a new drummer and continue, but it will be difficult to fill Gorky’s spot, since he’s such a great drummer who added a lot to our band. We’ll see what happens. There are a couple guys that we’re thinking about trying out, but I don’t want to keep the band going if it won’t be as good.
