Blackheart Records is proud to announce that Seattle’s The Cute Lepers, formerly Steve E. Nix and The Cute Lepers, are now on the Blackheart roster. The band had this to say:
The Cute Lepers have officially joined forces with Blackheart Records…as in “Joan Jett & the fucking Blackhearts”, Blackheart Records! The album ‘Can’t Stand Modern Music’ will be released worldwide (aside from UK/EU, where Damaged Goods is handling the release) in May of 2008. We are very very stoked!! Currently we are on tour with the Horrorpops and Pink Spiders somewhere on the east coast, check the dates… if you come out to a show, starting today, we will have advance copies of the c.d. for sale as well as limited edition “tour only” green vinyl L.P.s specially pressed up by our friends at ‘1234GO!’ We’re looking forward to a load of touring supporting the album’s release in the warm weather…. this touring across frozen tundra business is just fine at the moment though!
The groups features Steve E. Nix, Chris B. and Steve Kix of The Briefs as well as members of the Spits, the Girls and the Stuck Ups. The group previously announced that 1-2-3-4 Go! will be releasing the vinyl version of their debut record, Can’t Stand Modern Music.
