Darkest Hour, Mike Park and Strike Anywhere have joined a campaign to help eliminate one of the most easily avoided sources of waste: the disposable shopping bag.
The statement notes:
When bands are on the road, it’s not always easy for them to be as environmentally conscious as they are at home. Venues without recycling bins, backstage rooms with paper plates and plastic silverware, and tour vehicles that chug gasoline, are all an unfortunate common occurrence in the world of touring. But while there are some things that bands almost can’t avoid doing, there are other things that are extremely easy to avoid, like using paper and plastic bags.
The bands have all provided artwork and quotes to the shopping bags, made of canvas. They are produced by Stay Vocal. You can check them out here.
