Guitarist/background vocalist David Soloway has left Saves The Day. David first played on the band’s second full length,Through Being Cool although he was a member of Sefler before the band changed their name to Saves the Day. He is also the bassist for Two Tongues and will remain with theTwo Tongues.
After a lot of thought and many conversations with my good friend Chris, I decided that it was time for me to leave Saves the Day. This is one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make. I will miss the connection that I was able to participate in making with so many of you through our music. Music is a form of expression and communication that I hold in the highest regard, and I consider myself lucky to have been able to share it with Chris, Manny, Durijah, Pete, Eben, Reed, Ted, Bryan, Sean, Justin, Alex, and Damon.
I give thanks to all of them, but without all of you who have listened over the years we would’ve just been pissin’ in the wind. So thank you. I wish Chris, Manny, and Durijah the best of luck with Saves the Day, and I look forward to playing more music with Two Tongues and who knows what else.
The band last released Under the Boards in 2007 and are working on the third part of the triology, Daybreak, to be released later this year.
