F*cked Up nominated for Juno, plan “Year of the Rat” single

Toronto’s Fucked Up have been nominated for a Canadian Juno. The Juno is a Canadian music award, and not a wise-cracking pregnant teenager with a unnatural dialogue and a hamburger phone. The award in question is in the category, “Alternative Album of the Year” and winners will be announced March 29th.

The band has also announced plans to release a new 12-inch single, The Year of the Rat, on What’s Your Rupture. The two-song 12-inch will include the title track and “First Born.” If previously 12-inch albums are any indication, the 12-inch will include some really long songs.
