Fender / Shepard Fairey producing Joe Strummer Telecaster

Guitar maker Fender and artist Shepard Fairey will debut a Joe Strummer signature Telecaster later this month at the Summer NAMM 2007 trade show. The guitar, artificially worn and weathered to mimic Joe’s actual, features a sheet of stickers and stencils that replicate and riff on the designs Joe used to customize to his own. It also appears that Fender is producing a second replica as well, a with more exact reproduction’s of Joe’s own art, via their Custom Shop
