The 16th annual Halifax Pop Explosion will take place from October 21st to the 25th in Halifax, Nova Scotia (funny that). The event will feature more than 140 acts performing at 12 venues throughout the city. The festival will also feature the third annual Music Matters Conference and the first annual Halifax Film Explosion.

Bands performing include Jay Reatard, Statues, Brutal Knights, Andrew Vincent, Holy Fuck, Malcolm Bauld, Sunparlour Players, the Meligrove Band, Trigger Effect, and Young Widows.
