The Boston Phoenix has revealed more on the upcoming Mighty Mighty Bosstones reunion.
The band has plans to convene for a Hometown Throwdown at the Middle East Club in Cambridge, MA on December 26, 27,28,29 and 30th, followed by a potential New Years Eve show. The Phoenix has revealed that original Bosstones guitarist Nate Albert will make at least one cameo at the reunion. Albert left the band in 1998, forming the short-lived Kickovers the working as a producer.
In an interview bassist Joe Gittleman revealed that the band also has plans to hit the studio and record three new songs. Those tracks will be included with unreleased material and vinyl b-sides on an upcoming collection titled Medium Rare. That CD is expected before to be released before the Throwdown.
