The Sainte Catherines releasing new 7″ through Asian Man

The Sainte Catherines Québécois punks The Sainte Catherines have announced plans for a new 7″. Titled Dead Dogs, the release will feature two new songs and is expected out by year’s end through Asian Man Records. The band last released Dancing for Decadence in 2006 through Fat Wreck Chords.

The band has also announced a slew of tour dates into the summer and fall, including a planned appearance at this year’s Fest in Gainesville, FL.

The Flaming Lips The Flaming Lips have posted the video for “The Sparrow Looks Up at the Machine.” The band promises that the video “contains some disturbing images which may not be suitable for children or sensitive adults.” At the very least, you should take this to mean that this is not a video you want to watch at work.

Chamberlain releases new 7-inch for Gaslight tour

ChamberlainChamberlain have released a new 7-inch to coincide with their upcoming run supporting Gaslight Anthem. The release features two brand new recordings. One of them, “Raise It High,” is a new song. The other, “The South Has Spoiled Me,” is a reinterpretation featuring guest vocals by Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem. The 7-inch is only available at shows. A wider digital release is scheduled for 7/6, but the band has made the tracks available now for purchase via their Bandcamp page.

The Moon My Saddle and performed some reunion shows last year. Chamberlain will join the Gaslight bill beginning July 16th in St. Louis.

Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine, Jello Biafra’s first full time band since the Dead Kennedys have announced the bulk of their summer schedule. Along with spending most of June hitting Festivals in Europe, the band will open for Tool in California, and visit Quebec and Nova Scotia. They released their debut, The Audacity of Hype, last year.

Toby and Brendan interview Angels & Airwaves

Brendan Kelly of Lawrence Arms and Tobias Jeg of Red Scare had a chat with Tom Delonge of Angels and Airwaves and Blink 182 on the latest episode of JBTV. Starting about 6:06 minutes into the episode, Toby and Brendan grill Delonge on spirituality, empiricism and Toby’s obsession with a pigeon which actually segued into a detailed answer which proves that Tom is smarter than Toby.
