Seminal queercore band Pansy Division are the subject of a new film which takes a look at their formation, rise, and cultural relevance. Pansy Division: Life In A Gay Rock Band features footage of punk personalities like Jello Biafra and Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day). It will be screening this Friday, July 18th, as part of the 2008 Philadelphia International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. Showtime is 7:15 on Friday at the Arts Bank. Immediately after, the band will be putting on a special performance at The Trocadero. Admission to the 21 and up show is only $5 with a ticket stub from the documentary screening.
