Rise Against records “Little Boxes” for Weeds TV show

Rise Against is the latest band to cover the 1962 Malvina Reynolds track, “Little Boxes.” Originally written as a critique of suburban life, the song has gained recent notoriety as the theme song for the pot-themed sitcom, Weeds.

Each episode features a different take on the song with previous artists including Elvis Costello, The Shins, Billy Bob Thornton, Linkin Park, Regina Spektor, Joan Baez, and Death Cab For Cutie. The track will open a forthcoming episode of the series but is also available for streaming or purchase on iTunes.
