“Rock Band: Green Day” to feature “Dookie” and “American Idiot” in full

According to the Play.com pre-order page for Rock Band: Green Day, the game will feature the entirety of both of Green Day‘s most popular (and critically acclaimed) albums, 1994’s Dookie and 2004’s American Idiot.

The page goes on to note that the game will feature 47 songs in all, though American Idiot and Dookie will contribute 36 of those songs, meaning that the 11 remaining songs will have to cover 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hour, Kerplunk!, Insomniac, Nimrod, Warning and 21st Century Breakdown.

Like Rock Band 2 and Rock Band: The Beatles, additional tracks are expected to be available for sale and Harmonix promises that you will be able to complete the entirety of 21st Century Breakdown with post-release downloadable content. The game is due out June 8, 2010
