Chicago based Seventh Rule have announced the signing of New York City’s Wetnurse. Seventh Rule co-owner had this to say:
The urgency of early hardcore; the aggro, off-kilter noise of the AmRep heyday; the raw, outcast power of early death metal; the melodic transcendence of classic rock… All these influences exist within Wetnurse’s music, yet theirs is something totally new and progressive.
The group and label have slated the band’s new album Invisible City in the fall of 2008. The album was recorded and mixed by Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Helmet) at B.C. Studios and mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Converge) at West West Side Music. The band previously released the self-titled Wetnurse in 2004.
