Yep Roc has announced a new album from Reverend Horton Heat. The record is their first (non-holiday) album since 2004’s Revival and is described as the “‘billy’ side of rockabilly,” with more influence from mid-20th century country music.
The album will be released September 1, 2009 and a deluxe edition will feature a custom metal speedometer packaging designed by Gamil Design, a bonus CD of some of artists covering The RHH songs and a commemorative shot glass. The band will kick off a tour for the album with headlining dates in the US followed by a US tour with Motorhead getting underway 8/28 in Minneapolis.
