Tours: The Pogues (US west coast)

The legendary Pogues have scheduled west coast US tour dates for the fall. This includes multi-day stays in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The band will be one man short for the tour, as guitarist Philip Chevron is currently fighting what’s described as “locally advanced” throat cancer. The unexpected diagnosis required immediate medical attention and has sidelined the “Thousands Are Sailing” writer from touring with the band until his condition improves. This is the first time since the band reunited in December of 2001 that the entire band has not toured together.

The band recently saw much of their catalog undergo the reissue treatment with their first five albums being reissued in expanded format by Rhino. The label produced expanded editions of Red Roses for Me, Rum Sodomy and the Lash, If I Should Fall From Grace With God and Peace & Love and Hell’s Ditch.
