Voodoo Glows Skulls talk “Southern California Street Music”

Voodoo Glow Skulls new full length will be titled Southern California Street Music and will hit stores on September 18th via Victory Records. The band commented on the recording and the prominent role Eddie Casillas played in the album’s creation:

We’ve been working on our new album for about a year now, recording it in between tours… It’s been the longest we’ve ever taken on a recording, but we’re stoked to be able to do it at our own pace. Once again, we recorded it ourselves at our very own Dogrun Studios in Riverside, CA. Actually, it’s Eddie, our guitarist’s studio at his home. Where he, the Sapo (our drummer), and Gootzy (our roadie) and Bluto the bulldog all live together. Eddie pretty much produced & engineered the whole entire album on his own. He actually wrote 100 percent of the lyrics too! Everyone else contributed too, but it was mostly Eddie behind this project.

The band plans to perform two free in-store sessions on the day of release, one at midnight in Riverside, CA and the second in Hollywood (stores TBA). Following the release the band will hit the road for a US tour with Left Alone and Knockout. East coast tour dates with Mustard Plug will follow. In November and December the band will hit Europe with Left Alone, Against All Authority and Random Hand.

The new record follows up 2004’s Adiccion, Tradicion y Revolucion.
