After nearly five years without a new release, Wire has announced that they will be releasing Read & Burn 03 this fall.
The disc follows 2002’s two Read & Burn releases which preceded the band’s last full length, Send. According to Pitchfork reports, this disc will include exclusive material that will not appear on a forthcoming full length.
In related news, the band’s classic debut, Pink Flag will celebrate its 30th anniversary in December of this year. The frequently reissued punk classic is often credited with kicking off the “art-punk” and “post-punk” genres, and was released just a few months after Never Mind the Bollocks.
