My Chemical Romance talks fourth album

My Chemical Romance spoke to the BBC about their forthcoming fourth album and follow up to 2006’s The Black Parade..

The new album, expected in late 2009, will take am much less theatric approach than their previous:

It’s going to be less layered than Black Parade – I do expect it to be a little more raw. It’s really nice to get a fresh perspective, we really needed to have that time off to live life and do some things and simply not have to tour or worry about making music.

We have to make a record that reflects how we’ve matured. If we keep making a copy of the same record it’s going to be no good for anybody. We have to change.

Frontman Gerard Way has been working on his comic series which may become a feature film, guitarist Frank Iero unveiled his hardcore project Leathermouth which released a new record last month.
