No Use For A Name have announced an April trip to South America. The long-running band will be supporting The Feel Good Record of the Year which they released in 2008.

Silverstein have launched a stream of their new album. The record is titled A Shipwreck in the Sand and is due out March 31, 2009. It is their first since Arrivals & Departures in 2007.

Landmine Marathon
Phoenix, AZ’s Landmine Marathon will be touring April along the East Coast leading up to the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. The band released Rusted Eyes Awake last year through Level Plane.
Clues (Arcade Fire, Unicorns): “Remember Severed Head”
Clues, the new project from Alden Penner of The Unicorns and Brendan Reed of The Arcade Fire have debuted the first single from their forthcoming album. The record is titled Clues and is due out May 19, 2009.
The song is titled “Remember Severed Head” and is currently only available through a NPR Feature.

Poison The Well have announced a title and release date for their next album. The record is titled The Tropic Rot and is due out June 16, 2009. It is the follow-up to Versions which was released in 2007.
The album was produced by Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die, Kid Dynamite, Dillinger Escape Plan)

Tumbledown (Mike from MxPx) announce debut full length
Tumbledown, the country-styled project from Mike Herrera of MxPx has announced the release of their debut. The record is titled Tumbledown and is due out May 19, 2009. Along with Mike, the record features guitarist Jack Parker, standup bassist Marshall Trotland, and drummer Harley Trotland.
The album was recorded at Monkey Trench Studios, produced by Mike Herrera and mixed by Stephen Egerton (Descendents, All).

Girl in a Coma arrested in Houston
Blackheart Records Group indie/punk outfit Girl in a Coma found themselves arrested in Houston after an altercation with police. According to a report, Jennifer Alva, 28, and Nina Diaz, 21 were arrested at Chances nightclub around closing time on charges that one slapped a police officer and the other threw a beer bottle at another officer, then punched him in the face.
Earlier this year, the group finished work on their second album, produced by Greg Collins (Gwen Stefani) and Gabe Gonzalez (member of Sleepercar) with a few tracks produced by Joan Jett and Kenny Laguna. The album is also headed for a release this year.
