Dave Hidalgo Jr. replaces Scott Reeder in Social Distortion

Drummer Dave Hidalgo Jr. of Suicidal Tendencies, Spinerette and The Drips has announced that he has joined Social Distortion. Dave replaces Scott Reeder of Fu Manchu who filled in for Atom Willard when he left in March. Reeder performed with the band on their recent tour of South America but will apparently be returning to his main gig in Fu Manchu when they resume touring late next month.

Social Distortion has a busy touring schedule lined up for the coming months. First, the band will spend July and August with Dan Sartain and the Action Design and then will kick off a Fall tour with Lucero and Frank Turner. The band is currently working on their Epitaph Records debut and first full length since 2004’s Sex, Love and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
