Green Day: “Cigarettes and Valentines”

At the Denver, CO stop of their ongoing tour with AFI, Green Day debuted a new song, “Cigarettes and Valentines.” The song is the title track from the band’s planned follow up to Warning which was scrapped when the master tapes were stolen. The band returned to the studio and instead recorded what would become American Idiot. The band noted they were recording a new live album, leading to speculation that some of the “lost” songs from the album would appear on the live album.



The band previous released a live album, Bullet in a Bible, in 2005.
