Well it is finally here. Season 2 has started.

Currently I am pulling down the first release to the general public of season 2. Due to the GREAT demand for this file download speeds are pretty slow. The current download speed I am getting is 12.2KB which is normally around 150KB+ so that tells you that the site is getting slammed. If this season is anything like season 1, I cant wait until they get the sponsor site up so I will be able to get the High Res video.

EA launched its official BattleField Vietnam website a little while back and has shown off some really good features of the game through screenshots and preview movies… This MOD looks to be really great with the additions they have made, namely the helicopters [IMHO]…

Well, now they have another new treat for you… BattleField Vietnam Radio! For those of us that still remember the music from that era, you will dig it… For the younger crowed that may have never heard some of the songs from that time, it is something to check out!

PunkBuster update for Quake 3

The people at PunkBuster have released a new update that fixes some issues found in their version for Quake 3.

Version 1.065 of the PB Client for Quake3 has been released to our PB Master Servers for auto-update and to our website download page. This version further addresses violation #20006 (GAME INTEGRITY) which has today been kicking players in Q3 mods where r_bobup can be set to 0. We encourage admins to ignore violation #20006 for all PB Client versions prior to v1.065.

Feargus Urquhart Discuss Black Isle and the Future

Feargus Urquhart, former leader of Black Isle Studios did a two part interview with Gamespot. In it, he discusses Interplays future role for the Black Isle brand name and the future for his own company, Obsidian Entertainment. It seems he is once again working with Bioware on a new, unamed game and is looking for a second project to start developing.

I have enjoyed almost every game I have played where Black Isle had a hand in the development and I am sure Feargus Urquhart had a lot to do with that. I cant wait to see what he puts out next.

I wanted to point out one especially interesting comment he made about developing a Battlefield 1942 type game. That is a far stretch from his past projects, but I love BF42 and Ive loved his games, so why not!

In a land of orcs, humans and blah blah blah…

Ok heres the deal. Blizzard was looking to use a small group of external people to alpha test World of WarCraft… One thing leads to another and some idiot on the external alpha team goes and leaks the files to the internet.

Why do people do this? Have they not seen what happends when code/programs are leaked out? Look at what we get with Half Life 2.. A bunch of ATI cards with coupons for the game whenever it comes out.
Well, stop it already! We do enjoy games coming out when they are supposed to, and some of us enjoy the anticipation. Remeber how long you waited for WarCraft III??? Sure made me jump on that game the second it came out… Good news is, signups for the beta test will start at the end of the month.
