Slayer, Converge, Slint, Today is the Day make “Creepiest Guitar Riffs”

It’s All Hallow’s Eve, so the Halloween-themed articles are coming fast and furious. One of the more interesting ones is this feature from IGN which lists the 10 “Creepiest Guitar” riffs and some Punknews.org favorites make the list.

Along with a number of black metal bands, the site names Slint‘s “Nosferatu Man” from Spiderland, Slayer‘s “South of Heaven” from South of Heaven, Converge‘s “Jane Doe” from Jane Doe and Today Is the Day‘s “Willpower” from Willpower.
