Tours: Thursday / Circle Takes the Square

Thursday has announced a few tour dates through their MySpace page where they’ll be accompanied by Circle Takes the Square.

The band mentioned that they’ve nearly completed work on their forthcoming DVD / collections CD set, Kill the House Lights, which will reportedly compile early rarities along with three new songs. The writing for their fifth full-length will also take a brief hiatus as they’ll play these few weeks’ worth of shows. More dates are expected.

The main supporting band will be announced later, but the band offered a cryptic hint: “These exskimos (that’s short for ex-eskimos) are one of our favorite up and coming bands.”

Thursday last released A City by the Light Divided in 2006 before parting ways with Island this past March; Kill the House Lights is due October 30 on Victory. Circle Takes the Square is also working on a new full-length, their last being 2004’s debut As the Roots Undo.
